López de Heredia, 'Viña Gravonia' Crianza Blanco Rioja 2011

$38
Viura, the main grape from which Rioja Blanco is made, generally tastes kind of boring. But this wine from the producer Lopez is its own beast. Unlike other Rioja Blanco, which is aged in stainless steel, this wine is aged in oak barrels for four years, which gives it a different flavor than the clean and fruity wine you might expect.
