Guiberteau, 'Les Arboises' Saumur Rouge 2009 Magnum

Cabernet franc is more light and peppery than cabernet sauvignon. Romain Guiberteau's is some of the best. It comes from Saumur, a small town in the Loire most famous for its racy white wines. But its savory and complex reds are a well kept secret, well worth enjoying. This bottle has had time to soften with age and offers a great balance of ripe, dark-berry fruit and more spicy, herbal flavors. A great choice if you want something that a little bit geeky, but still objectively delicious
