Jean Foillard, Beaujolais-Villages 2017
- Gamay, the red grape of the Beaujolais region of France is built to be served chilled. In fact, back in the 80s, it was the original canned wine which was marketed as a cheap wine to chug. Today, Beaujolais and many of its producers are taking themselves much more seriously. There’s better farming practices going on and just greater attention to detail in making the wine than existed before.
