David Chapel and Michele Smith met while David was working at Beaujolais’ most famous producer, Lapierre. Like Lapierre, the couple makes organic Beaujolais focused on earthiness and structure rather than overt fruitiness. This bottling comes from old vines in Juliénas, a village known for some of Beaujolais’ most powerful wines.
Tastes like: Strawberry, black pepper, violets.
How to drink: Slightly chilled alongside burgers or herb-roasted chicken.
