Walter Scott, 'La Combe Verte' Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2017
Oregon Pinot Noir has become a strong brand in the US. Pinot to Oregon is like Cabernet to California. Just like Cab, there are some great version and a lot of ones that aren’t worth your energy. In this case, it really comes down to producers. The main area for Pinot is called the Willamette Valley. The Willamette is a large area with mostly Pinot Noir and a small amount of white grapes like Chardonnay planted there too.
Oregon Pinot should always be: a bit darker in flavor, earthy, and from Willamette Valley.
