Wines from Jura are most often compared to those from Burgundy since the reds are light and the whites are rich.
Like in Burgundy, pinot noir and chardonnay are grown here—among other grapes. Thanks to the influence and success of a few key producers, Jura has become a hotspot for natural wine. Some of the first people to make natural wine have wineries here, and so the style has become associated with the area. The most common red grape from Jura is trousseau and savignin is the white grape to look for. One thing that’s always true for Jura wines: They are a little weird and will catch your attention. In this collection you’ll find a mix of the best producers from the Jura.
