In the mountains off the Amalfi Coast, Ciro Picariello hand-harvests the local fiano grape to make some of our favorite white wines in Italy. Less well known but equally worth seeking out is his sparkling wine, which he also crafts from organic fiano. Made using the same method as Champagne, it’s salty and refreshing, with a whole lot more depth than most Italian bubbly.
Tastes like: Pear, salted almond, brioche.
How to drink: Cold as an ideal value-alternative to Champagne.
