This chenin from Clos des Plantes - a relatively new, natural producer in the Loire - is ripe and concentrated enough to warm you up in the winter, while its razor-sharp acidity keeps it crisp and exceptionally food-friendly. 'Whaka Piripiri Mai' is Maori and means 'coming together', a reference to the two chenin vineyards used in this blend, as well as a nod to the decade Oliver spent working at wineries in New Zealand.

Tastes like: Pear, orange peel, honeysuckle, smoke.
How to drink: Let this open up for 30 minutes while chilling in the fridge, and enjoy with roast chicken or cooked seafood.
