Year in and year out, this is one of our favorite reds in all of Spain. It comes from the rugged mountains outside Madrid, where Comando G biodynamically farms garnacha vines that are close to a century old. The resulting wine is floral, spicy, and elegant in a way that’s typically only found in grenache from producers like Rayas in the Rhone Valley.
Tastes like: Blood orange, leather, cinnamon.
How to drink: Very slightly chilled alongside grilled steak or tacos al pastor.
