While the Boissons have been making wine in the village of Meursault for more than two centuries, Pierre only started bottling under his own label in the last few years. The name recognition hasn’t yet caught up to the quality, and as a result, Pierre Boisson’s wines currently offer some of the best value in White Burgundy.
This is the new release of his Macon-Villages. While a lot of white wine from this southerly region of Burgundy can be broad and over-ripe, this version is classic Boisson. It’s fresh and salty, rich without being oaky or dense.
