Pierre Péters is one of the original grower Champagne houses. Rodolphe, the current proprietor, carries on the legacy of making some of the greatest blanc de blancs Champagne in the region. Cuvée Réserve is a great introduction to the house's style, which tends towards bright, lively, and complex. The wine is pleasently smoky, a little bit salty, and tastes like apricot, lemon, and herbs. Champagne is inherently optimistic, and a magnum is even more so.
