Domaine de Chassorney, Volnay 2022
$55
Best Price in the US
Domaine de Chassorney was launched by Frédéric Cossard, a trailblazing natural winemaker, in 1996. Since then, his reds and whites have gained a rare level of crossover appeal, sought-after by fans of both natural wine and collectible Burgundy. Chassorney is known for vibrant, floral, peppery Red Burgundy, and this wine from a pristine plot in Volnay is an ideal snapshot of that style. Available here for the lowest price in the country.
Here's what you should know about it:
- Domaine de Chassorney was created by Frédéric Cossard in 1996. Fred handed the reins to his protege, Aurélien Verdet, in 2022.
- This wine is made from organic pinot noir in Volnay, a village known for some of the softest, most elegant reds in Burgundy.
- It’s airy, earthy, and bright-fruited, a reference point for natural Burgundy.
