Joseph Roty is an 11th-generation domaine that’s been making wine in Gevrey-Chambertin since the days of Louis XIV.
This Red Burgundy comes from just north of Gevrey in the village of Marsannay. Along with Sylvain Pataille and Bruno Clair, Roty has helped Marsannay earn a reputation for serious, undervalued red wines.
Frosts in 2016 reduced Roty’s production by 50%. As a result, they blended their top-class single-vineyards into this wine.
