Stein, Rosé 2025
Dr. Ulli Stein is one of Germany’s most passionate and thoughtful winemakers. On remarkably steep vineyards in the Mosel, Ulli makes a range of lithe, electric whites, reds, and rosés. This example of the latter is light, snappy, and easier-drinking than even the crispest whites in your fridge.
Stein, Rosé Secco 2025
Made from the same blend of grapes, this is very similar to the rosé above, with one notable difference: this rosé is sparkling. It’s very much the product of a cool-climate region. In other words, it’s tart and herbal, with bright acidity and bubbles making it particularly refreshing.
Here's what you should know about it:
- Dr. Ulli Stein organically farms formerly abandoned vineyards in the Mosel region of Germany.
- Ulli has inspired a whole generation of winemakers, but his wines remain singular.

As sommeliers, we often get asked, “What’s the best wine on the list?”
