Saint-Estephe, with its higher percentage of water-retaining clay, is always a wise bet in warm vintages. The 2000 release of Cos d'Estournel puts that on full display. It delivers Cos’ classic fleshy fruit, along with coffee and chocolate notes from the higher portion of Merlot that was used back then.
