If you read any wine book, you are told to steer clear of cooperatives, as they mostly produce lackluster, cookie-cutter wine. There are a handful of exceptions to that rule, Produttori del Barbaresco perhaps chief amongst them. This collective of vinegrowers has seemingly never swayed from the path of making traditionally styled Barbaresco, with real aging potential.
