Blind Tasting

Blind Tasting

If you’re trying to learn a little more about wine than just knowing what you like or a few pointers to be able to navigate a wine list, the best way to do so is by trying wines blind. Blind tasting can mean tasting a wine without knowing what it is or where or when it came from, or it can literally involve a blindfold. Either way– an air of mystery. By tasting the wine without having any preconceptions, you’re forced to consider its flavor on a more objective basis. The hard part is to know what to look for. Next time to drink, even just try closing your eyes. All you have to do is drink, and maybe you'll learn a little more than you would if you were swigging something while scrolling through Instagram.
