Beaujolais is a region in France that grows the gamay grape.
Beaujolais wines are light-bodied and taste crisp and a little spicy. They have a strong smell of flowers, raspberries, and all the herbs you’d find in your spice draw you’re unsure what to do with. Beaujolais shares similar characteristics with the pinot noir wines made next door in Burgundy. But without the same vaunted reputation among the wine-collecting community, the wines are more accessible. They can be great with almost any food, and they’re also good for when you’re just hanging around and drinking. In this collection you’ll find a mix of small, organic, and some natural producers making Beaujolais.
