Georges Laval, 'Cumières' Brut Nature Premier Cru (base 2022)

Vincent Laval only makes around 800 cases of Champagne. And that’s in a good year. In 2021, for example, Vincent made zero bottles of this 'Cumières', the core wine in their lineup. Fortunately, conditions improved in 2022. Laval’s pristine, tiny plots west of Epernay yielded a seriously delicious Champagne. While their single-site bottlings can cost 10x more, this offers a clear picture of Laval’s round, ‘wine-like’ style.
