The story of this pioneering estate begins in 2002, when Eric Pfifferling founded l'Anglore in Tavel in the Southern Rhone. Tavel - one of only two appellation's in France that exclusively produces rosé - was once a revered source of collectible wines. Over the last couple decades, Eric has reminded the world what Tavel is capable of.
Eric and now his sons, Thibault and Joris, make soulful, ultra-expressive, natural wines. These toe the line between rosé and light red, showing more in common with wines like Susucaru and Henri Chauvet than pale pink rosé from Provence. Treat it like a chilled red or a serious rosé. Either way, it’s delicious and very much worth seeking out any time of year.
