Very few, if any, wines on earth are as age-worthy as great Bordeaux. The reasons are multifold, but the takeaways are simple: the longer the time-frame, the more savory and nuanced these wines become. Something else they become? Really expensive. That’s why we’re so excited about this bottle from Château Lafleur-Gazin.
Despite more than four decades under its belt, it’s not showing any signs of decline, and it’s available at a price-point that makes it an option for a late summer BBQ. Speaking of which, you can drink this wine in August. Unlike young Bordeaux, it’s soft, approachable, and relatively light.
