Clandestin, 'Les Passagers Fiole' Brut Nature (base 2022)

Champagne Clandestin is a relatively new project from Benoit Doussot. Prior to launching Clandestin, which he did while working at Vouette & Sorbée, Benoit spent years with Jean-Philippe Fichet in Meursault. The Burgundian sensibilities he picked up from his longtime mentor are on display in his site-specific Champagnes. This 100% chardonnay bottling comes from relatively cool site with soils similar to those found in Chablis. It's a tense, salty, fresh Champagne.
