Egly-Ouriet ages its wines in bottle for up to 100 months before release. Those wines are made from old-vine, mostly pinot noir, which Francis Egly harvests late for added ripeness. The resulting house style is powerful, rich, and nuanced - like sparkling versions of the very best Burgundy.
A blend of Grand Cru pinot noir and chardonnay primarily from Egly’s home village of Ambonnay, this is an ideal window into their house style. It’s creamy and layered, yet peppery and fresh.
