The Fornerot family has roots in Saint-Aubin that go back more than five centuries. Their most recent imprint on this southerly part of Burgundy is owed to Jérome Fornerot, who launched his own domaine in the early ‘00s. His wines don’t carry the names of Burgundy’s most famous villages, but they do offer fantastic value for the price.
This is ideal for anyone who prefers red Burgundy that’s more about smoothness and floral notes than spice or raw power. And as a vintage, 2019 is one we’d recommend stocking up on.
