Diana Snowden Seysses splits her time between the legendary Domaine Dujac in Burgundy and multiple projects in California. She launched her latest venture, Snowden Cousins, with a focus on environmental sustainability. Not only are the vineyards farmed biodynamically, but the bottles are refillable and can be sent back to the winery to be reused. As for the wine itself, it has merlot’s typical plush, velvety texture, along with brightness and vibrancy provided by the high-elevation vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Tastes like: Plum, violets, cigar box, chocolate.
How to drink: Decant for 45 minutes, and enjoy with BBQ chicken or your red meat of choice.
