Pinot Noir

The grape originated in France, but like most of the great grapes from that country, now it is grown in California, Oregon, Argentina and almost everywhere else. Most pinot noir wines smell like candy and dirt but in a nice way. They consistently taste like strawberry jam and spices. In Burgundy, it’s earthier and more nuanced even though the grape is the same– this is the homeland for pinot. In this collection you’ll find a mix of classic New World pinot producers as well as those from emerging areas who are looking towards Burgundy for inspiration.
