Alain Graillot, Crozes-Hermitage 'La Guiraude' 2001

After working in Burgundy at Dujac and Simon Bize, Graillot set up shop in Crozes-Hermitage in 1985. In short, Graillot put Crozes on the map, producing syrah just as world-class as versions from Hermitage and Cote-Rotie. Alain’s sons, Maxime and Antoine, have run things for the last 15 years, but the work is as traditionalist as ever. And so is the quality. These wines continue to offer outstanding value for the price.
