Bachelet-Monnot, 'Vielles Vigne' Maranges Rouge 2018

The winery Bachelet-Monnot was started by two brothers in 2005 after they inherited some prime land—and they are a producer you should be looking for if you want to ensure you're drinking something great from Burgundy. This wine is made in a town that's not so well known, but in the same style as some of the most collectible producers of Red Burgundy. It’s spicy, darker, and shows Burgundy’s potential to be a powerful wine rather than just a fruity one.
