Calabretta, Nerello Mascalese 'Vigne Vecchie' Etna 2011

$32
Nerello mascalese is a grape that grows on the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. The wine is smokey, like a volcano, and a little bit salty, like the Mediterranean shoreline. Calabretta is a natural producer that ages the wines for extra time to allow the flavors to become more earthy than fruity.
