Castello di Verduno is a historic Piemontese estate that was purchased by the Burlotto family in the early 20th century. While the wineries became independent from each other over the generations, they remain close in more ways than one. Both are based in the northerly Barolo village of Verduno, and both illustrate the area’s light, elegant, perfumed style of nebbiolo.
Tastes like: Wild cherry, roses, red licorice, dried thyme.How to drink: Alongside cacio e pepe, beef ragu with polenta, or a simple charcuterie plate.
