While it doesn’t carry a Grand Cru label, the dark-fruited, aromatic Ile des Vergelesses is the flagship of the estate. The ‘22 marks Christian’s final vintage at Briailles. If you like the bright, clustery Red Burgundy style of producers like Bize, Chantereves, or Fornerol, then this is a must try.
