Domaine de l'Ecu, Syrah 'Nobis' 2023

Domaine de l’Ecu is one of the great Muscadet producers in France’s Loire Valley. Its trailblazing natural winemaker, Fred Niger, also makes small quantities of two red wines in the Southern Rhone. This is his syrah, which he crafts from organic grapes farmed just outside of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Compared to most Chateauneuf, though, this is lighter and more peppery.

Tastes like: Blackberry, black pepper, leather, thyme.
How to drink: A juicy red to enjoy with a burger and fries.
