Despite five generations of winemaking in Gevrey-Chambertin, and plots in the village’s most iconic vineyards, Duroché has only begun floating around collectible Burgundy circles in the last few years. That’s largely due to Pierre Duroché, whose light hand in the cellar has been yielding some of Gevrey’s most elegant, detailed wines.
