G.B. Burlotto, Dolcetto d'Alba 2024

G.B. Burlotto is a Barolo legend. Their single-vineyard bottlings, led by ‘Monvigliero’, are some of Italy’s very best wines. And as you’d imagine, they’re also among the most expensive. Lesser known, but offering arguably more value for the money, are Burlotto’s wines meant for everyday enjoyment. Made from grapes like barbera, dolcetto, and even sauvignon blanc, these are wines we’d open every night, if not for the fact that we only receive tiny quantities each year.

Fabio famously masters whole-cluster fermentation in his Barolos, and he employs the same practice with this dolcetto. The result is a floral, spicy wine that makes for an ideal chilled red.
