Jérome Fornerot, Maranges Rouge 'Le Chamery' 2020

The Fornerot family has roots in Saint-Aubin that go back more than five centuries. Their most recent imprint on this southerly part of Burgundy is owed to Jérome Fornerot, who launched his own domaine in the early ‘00s. His wines don’t carry the names of Burgundy’s most famous villages, but they do offer fantastic value for the price.

Along with wines from Bachelet-Monnot and Cassiopée, this powerful, peppery red shows why Maranges is one of the most exciting villages in Burgundy today.
