This is a brand new bottling from one of the great dry riesling producers in all of Germany: Peter Lauer. Given Lauer’s track record, expectations were justifiably high. They were exceeded nonetheless. This wine is concentrated and intensely mineral yet lithe and airy in a way that’s unique to truly great riesling.
