Rully doesn’t have the name recognition of Chassagne-Montrachet or Meursault, but at its best, its white wines can rival any in Burgundy. Vincent Dureuil-Janthial is Rully at its best. Located just five miles south of Chassagne, Vincent farms old vines to make textured, concentrated wines that offer some of the best value in all of White Burgundy. About Vincent Dureuil, Jean-François Coche of Domaine Coche-Dury said, "If I see his name on a wine list, I don't give it a second thought and simply order his wine." We very much agree.
Tastes like: Quince, lemon zest, toasted almonds.
How to drink: Alongside herb-roasted chicken or hearty preparations of fish.
