Quinta do Javali, Clos Fonte do Santo 'Stone Vineyard' 2019

Portugal is in the midst of a winemaking revolution, and António Mendes is a key figure leading the charge. On the steep, schist vineyards of the Douro Valley, António biodynamically farms local grape varieties to produce a range of wines that are all about freshness rather than power. This bright, savory red is a field blend from a small parcel of his family’s oldest vineyard. Only about 350 cases were produced in total.
