In southern Spain, the Cerdán family makes natural wines that are antithesis to the nondescript, mass-produced juice that the Jumilla region was long known for. They farm monastrell (mourvèdre) organically and biodynamically, utilizing the area’s high-elevation vineyard sites to produce a juicy, rich red wine with remarkable level of freshness and balance considering the near desert-like conditions. This wine is their crown jewel. Only around 100 cases are made in total each year.
