Raúl Pérez is arguably the greatest winemaker in Spain. He makes this red wine from garnacha (grenache) in the mountains west of Madrid. While a lot of Spanish garnacha can be heavy and uninteresting, this is light and aromatic. It’s reminiscent of Red Burgundy, but with a savory, herbal character that reflects its rugged, high-altitude growing site.
Tastes like: Raspberry, roses, thyme, black pepper.How to drink: Lightly chilled with cheese and charcuterie or skirt steak.
