Benanti, 'Rovittello' Etna Rosso 2010

Before Sicilian wines became fashionable, there was Benanti. Located on Europe’s most active volcano, Benanti focuses on native varieties such as this red one– nerello mascallese. Etna Rosso in this collectible-worthy style reminds us of Barolo and Brunello. It’s light-colored but with a medium to full taste.
Tastes like: Cranberry, cedar, wood smoke, truffles.
How to drink: Open for one hour. This can also age. Pairs well with steak, roasted vegetables, and pork.
