This is a rustic, spicy red made from the rare pignatello grape, brightened with a splash of the local white wine catarratto. Bini was a surrealist architect in Milan prior to making wine and it shows: though light in color this wine is seriously structured, with flavors of amarena cherry, candied orange, and espresso.
