The Loire Valley in France is home to chenin blanc made in many styles. This one from a new producer is natural but doesn’t have anything overly wild flavors. It comes from an abandoned vineyard and the abandonment has proven to be a mistake since the quality is some of the region’s best .Tastes like: Pear, orange peel, honey, and like licking a rock. How to drink: Open 30 minutes in advance. Drink with roast chicken or pan-seared seafood, like scallops, monkfish, or snapper.
