Château de Bonnezeaux is making some of our favorite chenin blanc in the Loire. Like the legendary Mark Angeli and the obsessively sought-after Stéphane Bernaudeau, Bonnezeaux is located in Anjou. And its ties to those two producers goes beyond proximity. Before resurrecting Château de Bonnezeaux in 2012 - the estate hadn’t produced a single bottle of wine for 30 years - Guyonne Saclier de la Bâtie worked for Mark Angeli and alongside Bernaudeau. With Mark’s guidance, Guyonne replanted the vineyards, and in 2016, released her first vintage. Things evolved quickly from there.
