Egly-Ouriet ages its wines in bottle for up to 100 months before release. Those wines are made from old-vine, mostly pinot noir, which Francis Egly harvests late for added ripeness. The resulting house style is powerful, rich, and nuanced - like sparkling versions of the very best Burgundy.
Following in the footsteps of producers like Prévost and Lamblot, Francis makes this entirely from pinot meunier, Champagne’s most savory and textured variety.
