Georges Noëllat is one of the great domaines in Vosne-Romanée. After a few decades that saw Noëllat’s land split up - forming the majority of Domaine Leroy - and its wines sold to Drouhin and Jadot, 20 year-old Maxime Cheurlin took over his family’s estate in 2010. A nephew of Jayer and cousin of Emmanuel Rouget’s sons, Maxime quickly established himself as one of the brightest talents in Burgundy. ‘Feusselottes’ is a top vineyard in Chambolle-Musigny that only a few growers have the privilege of farming (think Mugneret-Gibourg and Cécile Tremblay). Noëllat makes one of the best: floral, spicy, and silken.
