Olivier Rivière, Rioja 'Mirando al Sur' 2020

Rioja is home to the most famous wines in Spain. Like this bottle from Olivier Riviere, they’re rich, spicy, and age-worthy. But unlike this wine, the headline-grabbers are red. The Mirando al Sur is made entirely from the white grape viura - known elsewhere as macabeo - which is grown organically, and aged in sherry barrels. This gives it bold, nutty flavors and a round, full-bodied profile.
