Paul Jaboulet Aîné, 'Le Grand Pompée' Saint-Joseph 1998

$60 $100
Paul Jaboulet is an old-school producer on Hermitage, the fabled hill of the Northern Rhone where the best and most expensive syrah in the world grows. Saint-Joseph is a neighboring town that produces syrah of similar style: deep, savory, and complex. Jaboulet's Saint-Joseph represents great value, and mirrors the grandeur of his Hermitage while remaining approachable. 1998 was a warm, generous vintage in the Rhone that's drinking well today.
