There are several Italian grapes which are grown throughout different parts of Italy. Trebbiano is one where it can be found in Tuscany as well as Abruzzo, a region further to the south. Although Abruzzo is in Southern Italy which we normally associate with beaches and big yachts, it is mountainous and can be quite cold. Trebbiano from Abruzzo is never sweet and makes a wine which still has body expect something that doesn’t smell too fruity or floral, and it tastes savory and cheesy.
