Jean-Philippe Fichet, Bourgogne Blanc Cote d'Or 2020

Jean-Philippe Fichet doesn’t make any wine from premier or grand cru vineyards in Burgundy, and that’s perfectly fine by us. Because while Fichet is one of the most talented and detail-oriented producers in Meursault, his lack of marquee vineyard holdings keeps his reputation from catching up to the quality of his wines. His style is focused on purity and brightness, with mineral-driven white wines that have the structure and ageability of Burgundy far more expensive.

Made with hand-harvested grapes in Meursault, this is a great entry-point to Fichet’s rich but not oaky style.
